Astute's Power Team is partnered with a global company, who specialise with the Energy from Waste industry, to recruit for a Plant Attendant to join their new-build Energy from Waste Power Station in Fife, Scotland. This opportunity will be working through the final commissioning period into full operations, so it will be a fantastic opportunity to familiarise yourself with the plant with extensive training going into full operations. The EfW will process 240,000 tonnes of waste per annum, exporting 23MW of electricity to the grid.
The Plant Attendant role comes with a salary of £30,000 + £2,500 shift allowance + Bonus + Private Medical + Pension + Benefits.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Shift Team Leader, you will be responsible for:
Support the Shift Technician with the safe and efficient operation of the plant during normalised running hours and during start-up/shut-down procedures.
Conduct regular site inspections/walk rounds to ensure the plant is operating as intended.
Report of incidents in a timely manner
Carry out first line maintenance.
Drive and operating a range of mobile plant including forklift trucks, front loading shovel and excavators etc. in the tipping hall area as well as the ash hall
