Vacancy Added 10/09/2024 AWC are recruiting a Gas Pipeline Shot Blaster The Gas Pipeline Shot Blaster is responsible for preparing gas pipeline surfaces for coating, inspection, or repair by using shot blasting equipment. This role requires strong technical skills and attention to detail to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. The candidate will work in high-pressure environments, often in remote locations, and must have a thorough understanding of the surface preparation process for gas pipelines. Key Responsibilities: Surface Preparation: Perform shot blasting on gas pipelines to remove rust, coatings, and other contaminants, preparing surfaces for new coatings or inspections. Equipment Operation: Safely operate, monitor, and maintain shot blasting equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality throughout the job. Safety & Compliance: Follow all relevant safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and environmental standards. Work in Challenging Conditions: Be prepared to work in various environmental conditions, including confined spaces, remote locations, and different weather conditions.
