An opportunity has arisen for a 4 session GP Partner at Newent Doctors Practice and we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, forward thinking GP Partner. Newly qualified GPs are welcome, with mentoring and support provided.
Main duties of the job
As a GP partner you will deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting. You will be responsible for providing a high standard of care for all our patients.
About us
We are located in Newent, a scenic, semi-rural market town with easy access to Cheltenham, Gloucester and Hereford with great opportunities for leisure in the nearby Cotswolds and Malvern Hills.
We are a GP Training, dispensing and a SystmOne practice, with a list size of approximately 12,000 patients with the advantage of having many community services on site.
The 9 partners are a sociable bunch and meet daily for coffee. We operate personal lists ensuring our patients have continuity of care.

Job responsibilities
You will provide a full range of NHS services to patients registered at the practice including clinical exam, diagnosis and making referrals when appropriate.
You will carry out face to face and telephone consultations, home visits, checking and signing prescriptions, dealing with queries, following up results, paperwork and correspondence.
Alongside this you will work as part of the partnership team, leading and shaping the future of the practice and after a settling in period, there will be an expectation that you will take on a key role for the practice.
Person Specification
Experience
* Experience working in practice as a GP (sessional/ partner)
* Familiarity with multi-disciplinary mixed skill mixed team environment
* Experience working within the Quality and Outcome Framework (QOF)
* Experience supporting service change
Qualifications
* You must be a medical practitioner whose name is included in the General Practitioner Register under article 10 of the General and Specialist Medical Practice Order 2003
* Must not be under suspension under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983
* Currently on a performers list and not suspended from that list or from the medical register
* Accredited member of the Royal College Of General Practitioners (MRCGP)
