The Submarine Directorate in Navy Command is responsible for all submarine in service capability and availability, including oversight of the Submarine Flotilla and Clyde Naval Base. The resource, recruitment and training officer is an interesting and varied role, the role will offer an insight into the wide range and high profile work of the Ministry of Defence. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role, working closing with hiring managers and teams across the Ministry of Defence. The role offers expose to a range of business areas across the department. You will work collaboratively with managers across the programme management office, guiding and supporting them through the resourcing, recruitment and training processes at a face pace. Job description Recruitment and On-boarding Work with hiring managers to understand and fulfil their recruitment requirements. support the end-to-end recruitment cycle, which includes developing the job advert, selection methods, offer management and on-boarding. Collaborate with HR colleagues/senior managers on recruitment priorities. Ensure recruitment campaigns are delivered in line with employment laws and Ministry of Defence recruitment policies, and Defence Business Services to make sure campaigns are on time. Ensure the recruitment tracker is maintained and up to date. Make effective use of the latest digital technologies and platforms to manage and deliver campaigns. Build and maintain a network of key stakeholders, driving collaboration to improve service delivery. Manage communications for recruitment campaigns, keeping candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders informed throughout. Provide recruitment guidance and support to hiring managers and share best practice. Organise venues for interviews, act as a runner taking candidates to interview rooms if required. Check identification documents for successful candidates if required. Help create and maintain the onboarding sharepoint. Managing office entry process Review the success of recruitment campaigns, identify areas for improvement and share best practice. Analyse recruitment metrics and provide regular updates to senior managers. Support on projects to improve recruitment processes for efficiency and effectiveness. Training Report budget spend and training approvals. Support with processing training requests. Build stakeholder relationships with other training departments. Review and maintain training tracker. Conduct skills gap analysis, providing recommendations that inform training and resource planning. Help implement and maintain the training SharePoint. Resource Management Provide analysis on hard to fill roles or gapped posts to support recruitment plans. Help with recruitment priorities and support senior managers if required. Adhoc You will support ad-hoc PMO tasks as required. Person specification Essential Experience Proven experience in managing large-scale fast paced recruitment campaigns. Experience using Oleeo VX and Microsoft Office 365 Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Work well as part of the team and strive to create a collaborative and high-performing environment.
