An exciting opportunity has emerged for a highly experienced Procurement Manager to join a rapidly growing and leading manufacturing organisation, with a permanent position based in Staverton, Cheltenham. This position is looking to offer £68,000.
This is an ideal role for an experienced procurement professional with a proven track record of managing teams and driving success in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
Role responsibilities of the Procurement Manager include:
1. Supervise the day-to-day operations of the procurement team to achieve key business results
2. Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure business success
3. Develop, maintain and improve strategic supplier relationships with key suppliers
4. Realign supplier delivery schedules for customer demand
5. Manage negotiations with suppliers on prices, contracts and conditions
6. Identify potential areas of improvement and recommend solutions to drive improvement
Person Specification of the Procurement Manager:
7. Experience working in a procurement position within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
8. Several years of successful managerial experience
9. Demonstrable ability to motivate, influence and negotiate
10. Proficiency in Microsoft suites
11. MCIPS/CIPS preferred
