The Opportunity:
This leading travel-tech market-place has a brand-new role focused on creating an exceptional user experience for every customer, every visit!
Boasting an exceptional customer return rate, in an incredibly competitive market you will be instrumental in building a seamless experience for the customer base. You’ll have the range and opportunity to ideate, pitch, build and measure UX optimisation strategies using data, insight and your own expertise!
Build wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and conduct user research and usability testing to identify pain points and gather insights for design improvements. Use data-driven approaches to iteratively improve user experiences and ensure design solutions are based on real user feedback.
Reporting into the Head of Digital and working closely with the wider functions, your focus will be on creating an optimal mobile experience (65% traffic) and desktop experience, alongside an evolving product range (including an app!).
The Ideal Candidate:
* 3+ years of experience as a UX Designer, with a portfolio showcasing work in a commercially focused environment.
* Experience in an Agile environment, working closely with product and development teams.
* Experience with Conversion Rate Optimisation and associated platforms. You will work closely with the CRO Lead.
* Ecommerce experience and familiarity with acquisition and retention channels (paid & organic search, email, etc.), as well as how different website visitors behave based on source and intent.
* Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or similar.
* Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, usability, accessibility and interaction design.
* Experience in creating responsive designs for both web and mobile applications.
* Familiarity with HTML/CSS.
* Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects at once.
* An interest in travel and outdoor activities, or experience in travel/tourism.
* Knowledge of user testing tools and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Contentsquare & Hotjar.
The Package:
* Base salary up to £55k.
* Hybrid working (3 days a week in the office).
