Planning for South Staffordshire
This is a new and exciting opportunity to join the award-winning Planning Team as an Arboriculture Apprentice, to develop the necessary skills and qualification to be able to help provide specialist arboricultural advice on proposals affecting protected trees across South Staffordshire.
The main duties of the post will be to:
1. Successfully complete the Level 4 Arboriculturist Apprenticeship qualification under the supervision of your line manager/training provider.
2. Provide a support service to the Council’s Senior Arboriculturist.
3. Administrative support with application for tree works.
4. Accompanied site visits for tree survey work.
5. Administrative support for the preparation of Tree Preservation Orders, both new and existing.
6. Administrative and technical support for digital tree data input and monitoring.
7. Support with the administration of responses to routine arboricultural planning enquiries and complaints by e-mail, letter, telephone or in person.
