Clinical Services Coordinator and Quality Coordinator - | Pathology | Manchester | Full Time | Permanent
The Spire Histology Centre in South Manchester is currently seeking a Clinic Coordinator to join our team. Our laboratory processes over 80,000 specimens and offers a wide range of services including molecular testing, IHC, and ISH. We are also in the process of implementing digital reporting, making this a particularly exciting time to join us. The successful candidate will join our successful quality team and primarily be involved with MDT referrals and responding to service user queries. The candidate will also be involved with monitoring turnaround times and following up with consultant histopathologists to ensure that turnaround times are acceptable.
Spire Manchester Hospital is a new, £65m state-of-the-art healthcare facility offering patients a wide range of integrated surgical, medical and diagnostic services. Duties and responsibilities
* Maintain lines of communication with our hospitals for MDT requests
* Send, receive and track clinical materials in and out of the department
* Monitor turnaround times and chase outstanding reports before reporting deadlines have passed
* Attend and participate in service user meetings
* Support administrative duties for incomplete lists, telephone queries and complaints.
Who we're looking for
* Experience of working in an office environment
* An outgoing individual with excellent interpersonal skills
* Pleasant and helpful telephone manner to ensure the highest level of service user care.
* Experience of working in an independent sector medical laboratory (desirable)
* Be organised and can be a good self-motivator.
