Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing - Planned Maintenance & Voids
Location: Southampton
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent position
Salary: £42,000 (estimated annual salary based on the provided range of £40K - £45K + car allowance)
We are partnering with a leading Social Housing contractor to recruit an experienced and successful Quantity Surveyor to join their team delivering a planned maintenance & voids contract.
The ideal candidate will be a proven commercial professional with experience in social housing, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and provide high-quality support to project managers and other stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing construction costs and budgets to ensure effective project delivery
* Coordinating with contractors and suppliers to achieve timely and within-budget completion of projects
* Developing and implementing cost control strategies to minimize financial risk and maximize value for money
* Providing regular financial reports and updates to senior management and other stakeholders
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners. They will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
