Please see Job Description attached Job Plan The standard job plan for the trust is a standard 8.5 Direct Clinical Care/1.5 Supporting Professional Activities split. Additional sessions may be available depending on the needs of the department and will be discussed as part of job planning. As detailed above we expect appointees for this post to take on a share of running and developing the PEM service. The initial job plan will be reviewed after 6 months to ensure that SPA time matches any responsibilities that are being taken on. The department operates a system of annualised self-rostering. A timetable cannot be produced since each consultant determines their own schedule as part of this system. Appointees will be expected to participate in evening, weekend and on call working on an equivalent basis as ED colleagues, with the same ceiling on antisocial hours. We have a progressive system of enhanced PAs for out of hours working. Study Leave / Postgraduate Studies in Medical Education All consultants are entitled to 30 days professional leave every 3 years. The current study leave allowance is currently £750 per episode, with some restrictions on how that is apportioned
