About The Role
Are you a passionate and experienced Veterinary Receptionist looking for an exciting opportunity in Horsham, West Sussex? Look no further! Here at Arthur Lodge Veterinary Surgery, we are looking for a dedicated individual to join our incredible team as Head Veterinary Receptionist. Our practice is renowned for delivering exceptional care and service to our clients' lovely pets.

As Head Veterinary Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for our clients, greeting them with a smile and giving their pets a good old fuss! You'll assist them with scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and providing general support.
This is a Full-Time position, working 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, with 1:4 weekends.
Your day at Arthur Lodge Veterinary Surgery could include:
1. Managing the Reception teams at our main site & also Ashbarn & Downslink Veterinary Surgery
2. Welcoming clients and their pets upon arrival
3. Booking appointments and arrivals on the RX Works diary
4. Helping to promote our Healthcare Plan so that pets are receiving premium discounted preventative treatment
5. Booking follow-up appointments for the pet once they have left their initial consultation
6. Assisting the Vet and Nurse team with queries
7. Being responsible for paperwork being scanned onto pets' digital records
8. Liaison with clients regarding queries for appointment booking and medication collection
9. Ordering food and medication
10. Taking payment immediately after treatment of the pet and processing 0% finance applications for those clients wanting to spread the cost of payment for larger operations
11. Managing an extremely busy reception desk with efficiency and professionalism
12. Diary Planning on RX Works
13. Rota Management
14. Authorising holiday for Reception Team, ensuring cover levels for holidays
15. Authorising Time off in Lieu for Reception Team
16. Ensuring Reception Team are trained in all systems - RX/ Deko/ PHP Plan/ VIP/ Direct Claim Information
17. Ad hoc Reception Duties as requested
18. Ensuring all sites have Facebook/ Instagram posts daily
19. Keeping a log of any overtime that team have done to be authorised by management
About You
Ideally you will have:
* Previous Experience working as a Veterinary Receptionist or in a similar customer-facing role within the Veterinary or Medical Industry
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organisational abilities and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* A genuine love for animals and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service
* Proficiency in computer systems and software
* Previous Experience in a Senior position
