About the role: Location: Kintore, Aberdeenshire Hours: Full time We are currently hiring for a Workshop Technician for our Certification & Inspection (C&I) team, based at our workshop in Kintore. In this role, you the Workshop Technician will provide operational support to Motive Certification and Inspection to ensure smooth transition and running of active jobs and verify that all tasks are completed as per the Work in Progress list. This is a important role for the business, as we look to expand our services within the (C&I) team and the Workshop Technician will ensure all work is carried out, in compliance with relevant HSEQ guidelines, to help us do that. About the Team You’ll be joining team, which has grown significantly over the past eight years since it became part of the Motive brand and is now a mainstay in what we offer our clients. And it continues to expand. Reporting into Steve, our Workshop Manager, you’ll be working alongside a team that covers off the technical aspects of projects offshore and all over the world, along with a dedicated team behind the scenes who make sure the operations of this department run smoothly, safely and with a smile. And you’ll be working alongside a committed and proud Motive team in the UK and globally that want to play their part in the growth of the business and support each other daily to create a positive, values driven and hard-working professional environment Responsibilities: People Adopting the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout day-to-day tasks and decision making. Stocktake equipment on arrival at worksite, communicating any anomalies and or damage to the Workshop Supervisor Ensure all daily checks and paperwork is completed Ensuring that all goods received are complete and correct Operating Forklift, Loading and unloading lorries, deliveries & dispatches dependant on relevant tickets Planet Making up job packs of required items from given lists as required Organising and maintaining project shelves in the workshop. Maintaining spooling equipment Preparing wire rope samples for destruction testing Assisting with the necessary pre and post checks of equipment being mobilised / demobilised Product Completing and processing the necessary delivery and mobilisation paperwork Providing general assistance within the workshop and yard areas Driving personnel to and from airport or client premises, delivery and picking up goods Develop strong working relations with key stake-holders – clients, colleagues etc. To be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd. Required skills/knowledge: Similar experience of managing operations within a busy mechanical and/or engineering-based workshop. Experience or understanding of Lifting & Wire Rope Inspection would be preferred. Must be safety conscious and apply a good quality approach to their work. Forklift experience with B1 – B3, Counterbalance Forklift Truck Operator level desired if possible, or a willingness to obtain. The ability to influence and communicate effectively with all levels of staff. The ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organisation. Good judgement and decision-making skills. Ability to understand converse with the technical requirements of the task in hand. Have an ability to deal with fast moving projects.
