Responsibilities of a Senior Energy & Sustainability Consultant:
1. Developing holistic sustainability concepts drawing on existing sustainability frameworks whilst pushing the boundaries of positive impact through regenerative principles
2. Identifying opportunities to leverage the overlap between ESG requirements affecting designer, investor, and developer clients to optimise outcomes
3. Identifying opportunities to improve the energy and carbon performance of existing buildings through analysis of energy systems, materials and building operations
4. Green building certifications (lead or support) such as BREEAM, LEED, DGNB, LBC, WELL etc.
5. Whole life carbon analyses
6. Involvement in their growing portfolio of work (circular economy, Zero Carbon, Regenerative Design and Smart Buildings)
The successful Senior Sustainability Consultant will have:
7. 4-6 years of relevant work experience in the fields of building energy analysis, MEP design or consulting in the field of Technical Sustainability.
8. Qualified to degree level in a relevant engineering or technical sustainability discipline and working towards / recently achieved chartership
9. Experience of leading operational and embodied carbon calculations, as well as an understanding of how these and other metrics have varying impacts on each project
10. Experience and/or driving interest in optimisation, digitalisation, sustainability, and quality assurance. Familiarity, or even accreditation with BREEAM, LEED or WELL certification schemes would be advantageous but is not essential
11. Previous experience working with IES VE, or AutoCAD would be advantageous but is not essential.

The working hours for this role are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am to 3.45pm Friday, 45 minutes for lunch.
