Role: Vehicle Technician
Salary: £45k+ (Competitive based on experience)
Location: Buckinghamshire
Company Performance Bonus: Typically around £1,500
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm

About the Company:
One of our key clients is a well-established, high-end automotive garage specialising in the maintenance, servicing, and repair of premium and performance vehicles. Known for their technical expertise and commitment to customer satisfaction, they take pride in delivering exceptional workmanship and maintaining long-term relationships with their clients.
They are now looking to expand their skilled team with an experienced Vehicle Technician who is passionate about precision engineering and enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Vehicle Maintenance & Repairs: Carry out routine servicing, complex repairs, and maintenance in line with manufacturer standards.
* Diagnostics & Fault-Finding: Use advanced diagnostic equipment and technical manuals to accurately identify mechanical and electrical faults.
* Breakdown & On-Site Repairs: Attend customer sites or breakdown locations for urgent repairs when required.
* Component Assembly & Disassembly: Work on engines, gearboxes, power electronics, and other key vehicle systems.
* Technical Documentation: Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and vehicle schematics.
* Customer Interaction: Communicate directly with customers, explaining issues, repair work, and providing expert advice.
* Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with relevant health and safety standards.
* Travel: Occasional travel to clients and suppliers across the UK, with the possibility of some international travel.
1. Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 3 or HNC/BTEC in Engineering
* Valid UK driving licence
2. Key Skills & Experience:
* 3+ years of experience in breakdown/roadside repairs or working in a fast-paced garage environment.
* Strong diagnostic abilities across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
* 4+ years of experience in vehicle maintenance, with EV experience being advantageous but not essential.
* Proficient in using diagnostic software and tools.
* Experience with vehicle modifications, including performance upgrades and bespoke tuning.
* Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
* Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
* Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and PPE requirements.
* Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks and operating power tools.
