Benefits include (but are not exclusive to): c.£65k - £75k p.a. starting salary, with commission available based on performance Joining a growing team as a result of record-breaking numbers Working on a variety of new-build and refurbishment projects across the North-West such as offices, universities, hospitals, car showrooms, etc. Hands-on role, with opportunity to get involved with various parts of the delivery process, from initial consultations with your clients to project delivery and final handover, in a very client-facing and negotiation-focussed role Involvement with the full M&E process to develop your skills and ensure effective project delivery, including pre-contract and post-contract agreements, and the commissioning process Holiday buy back scheme Full Holiday, Pension, Healthcare, and SSP cover Requirements for the role: Relevant Quantity Surveying degree Ideally qualifications within Contracting/Law Relevant experience within negotiations related to MEP and Construction, including engineering bodies, relevant laws and regulations surrounding the supply chain process, budgeting, and building surveying Strong mathematical skills, including ability to accurately budget and estimate jobs at pre-contract and ongoing stages Proficiency with IT systems and Microsoft office, including ability to create accurate reports and tender/procurement documentation Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate both within your own team as well as with external customers and clients Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure Strong teamworking skills, with both reporting progress to your senior management but also keeping effective communications with engineers on site Job duties will include (but are not exclusive to): Cost estimation, budgeting and financial negotiations to ensure the best deals for your company whilst continually developing ongoing and upcoming client relationships to ensure successful project delivery Negotiation with clients is a huge part of the role, with many up and coming contracts that the business has won that now demand team growth. Your expertise within MEP and Construction will help to advise the client, supply chain and your internal team as to next steps and ongoing updates to accurately manage the contract process There will be involvement with tendering and procurement processes, although this role is heavily focused on being client facing rather than an office-based paperwork-heavy role Continued Financial Management during project timelines, working closely with the Project and Contract Management teams to provide regular and accurate updates to ensure accurate financial reports and estimations are being made There will be problems that arise and potential contractual issues and conflicts of interest during ongoing negotiations, and the ideal person will be able to problem-solve and navigate negotiations to work on the best solution to the problem for both the supply chain and your business If you are an experienced Contract Quantity Surveyor with exposure to the M&E/MEP/Construction industry, with strong negotiation skills and a thorough understanding of the the full fit-out process, then this role and company would be ideal for you.
