The Assistant Buyer will be responsible for:
RANGE PLANNERS
* Build a Range Planner for each range after First Sign Off.
* Maintain Range Planners throughout the range building process to ensure all information is accurate for Final Sign Off.
* Completed Range Planner to your Senior Buyer by 8.30am on the Tuesday prior Final Sign Off.
* Update Range Planner post Final Sign Off with agreed retail prices, changes and quantities.
* Handing over 100% complete & accurate Range Planner to your Senior Buyer by 10am on the day following Final Sign Off.
APPROVAL SAMPLES
* Weekly tracking of approval samples by range to ensure they will arrive on time for Final Sign Off.
* Provide weekly update of approval sample status by range to your Senior Buyer.
* Checking approval samples as they arrive:
o Suitability for the range – correct colour, detail, etc.
o Identifying potential QC issues.
o Discussion with your Senior Buyer to determine action to take to fix product or issue prior to Final Sign Off.
* Preparing approval samples for Final Sign Off:
o Correct Carding.
o White sticker with supplier, cost, margin.
o Merchandise range on the correct fixture for Final Sign Off by EOD on the Monday prior to the Final Sign Off.
SPEC SHEETS
* Preparing Spec Sheets, as instructed, as and when requested by your Senior Buyer.
RANGE PERFORMANCE
* Review sales of your teams ranges daily and provide your team with an update.
SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIPS
* Respond to supplier correspondence within 24 hours.
Other duties and special projects within skill and competency level as required.
Skills, knowledge and personal qualities required:
* Enjoy coming to a stylish office every day between Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Road.
* Strong communication skills at all levels.
* Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel & Outlook and to develop skills on Futura.
* Openness/willingness to change.
* Desire to understand strategic direction of the business.
* The ability to anticipate what may be required.
* Ability to work autonomously and exercise discretion.
* Ability to work to deadlines.
