Production Manager
Location: East Lothian
Hours: Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 15:00

To be considered for this role, you must have:
* HACCP Level 3 (minimum)
* High-care food production experience
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations
* Understanding of SALSA or BRC accreditation requirements
Job Summary:
As a hands-on Production Manager, you will oversee the entire production process, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and high product quality in a high-care environment. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage daily operations, maintain food safety standards, and optimise workflows while fostering a strong team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Production & Process Management:
* Oversee and manage end-to-end production activities to meet operational targets.
* Ensure efficient use of materials, equipment, and personnel.
* Continuously identify and implement process improvements.
* Maintain accurate production records and reports.
Food Safety & Compliance:
* Uphold and enforce high-care hygiene and sanitation standards.
* Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety regulations, and SALSA requirements.
* Conduct regular internal audits and maintain documentation.
Leadership & Team Management:
* Lead, train, and develop a small but dedicated production team.
* Oversee scheduling and shift management to ensure smooth operations.
* Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Quality Control & Health & Safety:
* Ensure all products meet the required specifications.
* Investigate and resolve any quality or process issues.
* Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all health & safety regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role in a high-care food production environment.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Excellent understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations.
* Experience working within a SALSA-accredited facility (preferred).
* Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions under pressure.
* Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
* Must be able to work the set hours: 07:00 - 15:00, Monday - Friday.
* Due to the location, own transport (car/motorbike) is essential.
