About the store Specsavers in Colwyn Bay first opened its doors in 2002 and is in a prime location at the entrance to Bay View Shopping Centre, next to the pedestrianised shopping precinct. The store boasts 5 optical test rooms and 1 audiology room, all kitted out with the latest technology including OCT. A project boost is planned for early 2025 which will update and modernise the store. They offer enhanced clinical services such as DVLA and Low vision clinics. A team of 18 retail staff, 6 optoms and 1 pre reg call this store home. Store location Colwyn Bay sits on the north coast of Wales, in between Conwy and Rhyl. A popular tourist town famous for its beautiful sandy beaches and promenade that extends for over 3 miles. There are excellent transport links, with a train station just a 4 minute walk from the store where a train to Bangor takes 25 minutes or to Chester around 45 minutes. The A55 North Wales Expressway runs through the town and the M56 can be reached in 45 minutes drive. Requirements of the role Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist with the drive, passion and willingness to maintain the customer-focused culture and the high standards of this successful store. As the new Optometry Partner, youll be able to provide a unique blend of customer care and professional excellence. Youll be able to build a rapport with the existing team, demonstrate excellent attention to detail and possess an ability to build strong relationships within the local community.
