Key responsibilities of BSCP include: Agreeing and implementing scrutiny and assurance arrangements to evaluate the effectiveness of the safeguarding system Responding to new and emerging risk and threat to children s safety and welfare Identifying serious childcare incidents and commissioning Local Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews where necessary; working collaboratively to ensure learning drives improvement in safeguarding arrangements Setting out local thresholds for help and support in Bolton and how local organisations, services and practitioners should respond The Lead Administrator supports the Partnership and the Safeguarding Officer and is key to ensuring the smooth running of services. The role is exciting and varied and duties include (but are not limited to): Arranging and organising Partnership Board meetings - set up virtual and face to face meetings, Provide admin support to serious case review meetings so accurate and efficient minute taking experience is essential. Updating the website with information and deal with any queries from professionals and the public or sign-post to relevant teams. Collating information and data from a variety of sources and presenting in logical format for board to review. Training will be given to support the successful candidate in fulfilling the role. You should be able to demonstrate effective organisational skills, with the ability to plan, develop and prioritise your work. You must possess accurate literacy skills to ensure correct information is collated and processed and are proficient in the use of information technology systems Experience of using a range of computer software packages to produce accurate, well-presented documents is essential, as is a demonstrable ability to handle cash and be able to record and monitor payments in line with financial procedures. Applicants must have the ability to arrange and, where necessary, attend meetings to take minutes.
