We are currently working with an organically growing consultancy, looking for a Transport Planner / Senior Transport Planner to join their team in Woking. Your Role:
* Preparing technical reports, including Access Appraisals, Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and Walking, Cycling, and Horse-Riding Assessment and Reviews.
* Conducting junction capacity modeling and CAD design work.
* Engaging with stakeholders, external project teams, and clients.
* Representing the company at meetings, public consultations, and exhibitions.
* Performing site visits.
* Collaborating with our Environmental teams in the creation of Construction and Environmental Management Plans, as well as Noise and Vibration Assessments, including assisting with site monitoring.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualifications – A degree in a relevant field (Geography, Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Planning, Transport Planning) is preferred, though not essential. Additional qualifications are a plus. Strong analytical and numerical skills are essential, along with proficiency in research and report writing.
* Experience – A minimum of two years in the transport planning industry, with a commitment to continuous professional development, such as achieving Transport Planning Professional (TPP) status.
* Personal Qualities – A combination of intellectual, professional, and interpersonal flexibility and agility. A pragmatic approach, with the ability to handle uncertainty and change. Strong observational and persuasive skills. The ability to clearly communicate complex issues to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing, in a manner that is easy to understand and actionable. Excellent time management, multitasking, and decision-making abilities when faced with competing priorities.
