Sales Executive (Remote / Field Based) required for a logistics company in the Essex/Oxfordshire/Reading/London area. This is an ideal role for a candidate with 2 years within sales OR a number of years within account management within a freight forwarder. You will have an understanding of freight forwarding. This role is more about being the face of the company within your patch instead of a hardcore sales role. You will do 10-12 face-to-face meetings a week, and the targets are based on winning either new business or repeat business instead of a financial target. £36-40k basic + a bonus each year based on the number of new clients won + car allowance of £5k a year. This role is field-based, with working at home on days of no meetings.
The Role
We are looking for a candidate as a Sales Executive (field-based) who will be able to meet both new and repeat clients. You will ensure the client base has a range of regular visits, working through a list of 150 previous clients to re-win these clients, focusing on repeat business as well as brand new business. This is a client-facing role with about 12 meetings each week. This role is not hardcore sales; it is about client relationships as well. This role will include all the normal Sales Executive (field-based) duties.
Experience
We are looking for a Sales Executive (field-based) who has an understanding of freight forwarding. You might be from the operations side wanting to step into sales, you might be an account manager who wants to be more field-based, or you might be a sales executive or business development manager looking to step into your next role. You will be able to hold meetings, with around 10-12 meetings per week. You will have great communication skills and a passion for growing relationships. It is essential you are currently living within the Essex, Greater London, or Berkshire area, as meetings can be short notice with clients.
Compensation
* £36-40k + annual bonus based on new clients won + £5k car allowance
* This is a remote role - field-based role with working from home on days of no meetings. About 12 client meetings a week.
* The patch: Oxford, Reading, Guildford, South West Essex, Kent, and the Greater London region.
