Job Description: Fluor is growing We are looking to establish a Fluor Vehicle Maintenance Team to support the Base Operations. The selected applicants will be responsible for maintaining all Government Owned Vehicles on site, consisting of a variety of vehicles and mechanical assets in a 150 vehicle fleet. These are permanent positions working a flexible weekly schedule Notice to Candidates: Background checks are carried out as part of any conditional offer made, including (but not limited to & role dependent) education, professional registration, employment, references, passport verifications, and Global Watch-list screening. To be Considered Candidates: Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.• Carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance to high standards. • Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately, using computer-based diagnostic equipment. • Repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and resolving defects. • Road testing vehicles to check repairs. • Maintaining equipment and making sure tools are in good condition. • Following checklists to ensure all procedures are completed. • Completing all documentation to the required standard. • Provide parts usage statistics and recommend stock levels for required parts and supplies. • Ability to perform physical work associated with vehicle maintenance. • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. • Understand and practice good Health & Safety, and Environmental processes, and comply with all UK requirements. • Participate in an after-hours and weekend “On Call”, weekly rotation divided between team members to repair or arrange recovery of essential vehicles supporting base operations. • Possess a valid UK driving license to include Class B, D, and CE.Notice to candidates: Must have, or be able to obtain and maintain, an active enhanced DV security clearance. This clearance requires UK citizenship. 1. Must be authorized to work in the UK. 2. This role is also subject to Health Surveillance.• A certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and solid work experience in the automotive industry. • The ability to work on petrol and diesel engines as well as automatic and manual transmissions. • The ability to work in a competent and efficient manner on your own and part of a busy team. • Strong communication skills. • Good attention to detail. • The ability to carry out work to high standards and to deadlines. • A proactive and enthusiastic approach. • The ability to accurately follow written and spoken instructions.
