Position Responsibilities:
1. To act as QA MRB (Material Review Board) Delegates
2. Perform final inspections of precision machined components using various different inspection methods (including CMM, Micrometers, Gauges etc.).
3. Provide feedback on the inspection process to Quality Technicians and Quality Engineers.
4. Review work instructions for completeness.
5. Perform in-process inspections to support the manufacturing process (e.g., hole check or on machine runout check) as required.
6. Participate in problem solving events when requested
7. Reject defective parts, as required.
8. Note discrepant condition(s) of products in line with the company reporting standard.
9. Process quality records per appropriate procedures to maintain accountability, acceptance, and status.
10. Maintain personal and equipment certifications, as required.
11. Work safely and within the confinements of the site Health and Safety management system.
12. Assist other employees with functions, methods and procedures by passing on information and answering questions.
13. Contact team leader/supervisor when assistance is needed.
14. Consult with management and/or others (e.g., production or engineering) on process or job related issues as required.
15. Work with others as part of a team including giving and receiving feedback, assisting others in completion of tasks and providing on-the-job-training to others.
Basic Qualifications ( Required Skills/Experience):
16. Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced, highly regulated environment; time management skills are crucial
17. Must be conscientious in what you do, paying close attention to detail at every step of the process
18. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
19. Must have experience as a Quality Inspector or in the use of associated inspection equipment and processes
20. A solid understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Apprentice trained or equivalent experience in a precision machined engineering environment
Typical Education/Experience:
BTEC / HNC in Mechanical Engineering
Shift:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
Initially day shift for 1 week for training purposes, but the role is a morning / afternoon bi-weekly rotating shift pattern for the routine work schedule.
