Job Responsibility:
Shaw Education Trust is looking for a Finance Support Assistant to join their growing team. This role is hybrid, with remote work and travel required to a cluster of schools in Staffordshire, Derby, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, and surrounding areas when needed. Access to a vehicle and a full driving license will be required for travel to the Head Office in Kidsgrove for training and team meetings.
Full training will be given to someone with good finance/accounts abilities.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Obtain and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, etc. to ensure effective internal controls and compliance by the Trust's academies.
* Be responsible for the entry of financial transactions (orders, invoices, etc.) for the school where the service is commissioned by the trust.
* Support reports in accordance with Trust timelines to the Strategic Finance Partners on areas including:
o Monthly management accounts for the school
o Performance against financial KPIs
o Internal Curriculum Financial Planning
o Financial Resource Management
o Benchmarking
o Compliance with Financial Internal Controls
o Risk management
