Warehouse Operatives are integral members of the pharmacy team, responsible for fulfilling customer OTC orders, packing pharmacy prescription orders, maintaining the warehouse storage area, and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy warehouse. Your attention to detail, commitment to quality, and willingness to work as part of a team contribute to the overall effectiveness of the pharmacy operation.
Key Responsibilities
* OTC order fulfillment: Prepare LP.com orders for delivery ensuring accuracy and timeliness in fulfilling requests from pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
* Packing Pharmacy prescription orders: Package prescription orders efficiently and accurately, following established procedures and guidelines.
* Stock/Consumables Organisation: Organise and maintain the warehouse storage area to optimise space utilisation and facilitate efficient retrieval of items. Ensure proper storage conditions for medications according to manufacturer guidelines.
* Stock counting/date checking: Carry out regular date checks for pharmacy medication to ensure short dated stock is marked appropriately and expired stock is disposed of.
* Equipment Maintenance: Maintain warehouse equipment such as pump trucks, tape dispenser machines, and storage shelves, ensuring they are in good working condition and complying with safety regulations.
* Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Comply with regulatory standards related to pharmaceutical storage, handling, and transportation.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Basic IT skills.
Desirable
* GCSE or equivalent qualification.
* Relevant experience in a similar role preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.

Pay: £11.50 per hour
