Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Epsom, Surrey Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday Contract: Temporary to Permanent About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team at a specialist provision in Epsom. This role will see you working directly with students who have special educational needs (SEN) to help them achieve their full potential in the classroom. You will play an integral part in creating a positive learning environment, ensuring students feel confident, motivated, and included. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a variety of special educational needs Assist with the delivery of tailored learning plans and adapt materials to meet the specific needs of each student Support students in the classroom and during playtime, helping to develop their social, emotional, and academic skills Work closely with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other support staff to monitor student progress and ensure their individual needs are met Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive relationships among students About You: Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is highly desirable but not essential A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and approaches A proactive and flexible attitude to supporting the diverse needs of students Why Work With Us?
