Job summary
A great opportunity is available within the Pharmacy Aseptic Unit at the Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust for a Core Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer (ATO).
You will be involved in the pharmaceutical care of hospital patients through the aseptic preparation, compounding and supply of medicines.
General working pattern is hours per week over a 7-day period. Usual working hours will be between 9 - 5, Monday to Friday and will include some late standby shifts, weekend and bank holiday working.
Main duties of the job
You will work with and support staff working in the Pharmacy Aseptic unit to:
1. Apply skills and knowledge to a range of activities concerned with the preparation and supply of aseptic pharmaceutical products with in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations.
2. Work with and support the pharmacy technicians in the training of rotational staff.
3. Maintain a clean working environment in compliance with GMP regulations.
