The school does cater for a range of SEN needs, but particularly specialises in Autism. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, including those within the Autism Unit.
* Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
* Foster independence, confidence, and self-esteem in students with SEN through personalised support and encouragement.
* Help students engage with the curriculum and participate in classroom activities to the best of their abilities.
* Support students in developing social skills and building positive relationships with peers.
Qualifications:
* Experience working with SEN, particularly autism spectrum disorder (ASD), is desirable.
* A compassionate and patient demeanour, with a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with diverse needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
* Relevant qualifications or training in special education, SEN support, or related fields are advantageous but not essential.
