Job Title: Mental Health Nurse

Salary: £32,850 - £35,178 plus £3,000 welcome bonus
Hours: 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our team at a private hospital in Old Woking, Surrey. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health care to our patients, ensuring their well-being, and supporting their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with mental health conditions.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical practitioners.
3. Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions and respond appropriately.
4. Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.
5. Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
6. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
7. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
8. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
9. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification.
2. Valid NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) registration.
3. Experience working in a private hospital setting is highly desirable.
4. Strong clinical skills in mental health nursing.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
7. Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered approach to care.
8. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
9. Ability to work on a rota basis, including weekends and nights.
