Teaching Joinery
We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Educator to join our team based in Worksop. As a lecturer in joinery, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional education and training to equip students with the skills they need for their future careers.
Main Responsibilities:
* You will teach and assess various courses and learning programs suitable for your skills and qualifications, undertaking necessary planning, preparation, and assessment to ensure high-quality teaching and learning outcomes.
* You will perform administrative tasks associated with your role, including learner registration, attendance tracking, record-keeping, reporting, and liaison with parents or guardians for 16-18 learners.
* You will prepare students for higher levels of study and professional life by developing specific vocational work and employability skills through the curriculum and external/internal links.
* As a key member of our team, you will provide pre-course guidance and support to help learners achieve successful outcomes, including conducting learner interviews and enrollment, as well as marketing and public relations activities related to the course.
* You will be accountable for the academic and pastoral care of a group or groups, ensuring the arrangement of support requirements for students and communicating with the Curriculum Team Leader/Curriculum Leader and Progress Tutor.
Requirements:
* An appropriate teaching qualification or willingness to pursue it
* The ability to deliver instruction to students at all levels and abilities using flexible and innovative methods
* The capacity to translate practical experience into meaningful learning activities
* Level 1-3 trade qualifications
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people receiving education and training
