Financial Risk Oversight Manager day rate 6-month contract We have an opportunity in our Prudential Risk Oversight team for a full-time day rate contractor to join us as a Financial Risk Oversight Manager Working within the Prudential Risk Oversight team, your role will be to give oversight of several risk areas of the balance sheet, which could include Liquidity and Funding, Treasury, Market Risk, Financial Reporting and Sustainability and Capital Risk. This is a hybrid role; however, you would only need to be able to travel to our Leeds head office as required. There is no requirement to come into the office each week. About the role Support the business by providing expert 2 nd line of defence advice, challenge and oversight of key BSM, Treasury and Financial Risks. Provide risk-based oversight of ALCO papers and other key Treasury, BSM/ALM and Finance propositions and projects. Partner with key business stakeholders and divisions to drive the embedding of Risk best practice in YBS, acting as a key strategic enabler for Financial Risk to enable the business to better understand and manage the associated risk profile. Use experience and technical knowledge to support the business in enhancing capability and to enable better strategic decision making. About You Balance Sheet Management/ Treasury/ALM/ Finance experience (1 st or 2 nd line) is a must for this role, whether that is through working in a banking institution, through consultancy and advisory work, or from working for the regulator. Specific experience and expertise in at least one of the following risks; Market Risk, Funding & Liquidity Risk, Treasury Risk, Financial Reporting and Sustainability and Capital Risk Good awareness and understanding of the relevant regulatory environment relating to Financial Risk and Prudential Risk and experience of applying in practice. The ability to clearly articulate complex concepts and business requirements to Senior Management and non-specialists is key to the role and requires effective communication, engagement and influencing skills.
