Job summary To work as a member of a multitasking maintenance team providing professional andtechnical expertise and with an effective and efficient focus on a service delivery. Tocarry out or oversee the repair / maintenance or installation of complex plant andequipment associated with premises administered by the Trusts Estates department. This will involve a multi skilled approach as well as the full range of duties associatedwith the post holder's core trade. Professionally the post holder will be expected tomaintain his/her appearance in line with the Trust dress code. Main duties of the job Post holder is to carry out day to day repairs, planned maintenance andimprovements to the Trusts buildings in a manner that conforms to statutoryregulations and codes of practice, while ensuring smooth running of the Trust. The post holder will also be responsible for installation, repair and removal of many types of heating and water systems within the trust. The post holder will be part of a multi-skilled, multi-discipline maintenance team. Participation in the emergency on call will be required by contractual obligation to ensure safe systems and service continuity. Cross site working will also be required by contractual obligation. You should have good diagnostic and fault finding skills, and be able to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals etc. You should have a good understanding of the work of all other trades which is essential to maintain the flexibility of the department.
