Location: Leeds The Technology Strategy and Architecture (TSA) division and Technology Directorate are responsible for both LOB and enterprise direction-setting, consulting, and governing of technology and architectural choices and investments for the Bank. This is achieved through influencing and leading the development of coherent strategy, business cases, investment portfolios and architecturally significant operational choices. In addition, TSA provides and maintains target, transitional, and solution architectures and their roadmaps to ensure the delivery of both business and operational concerns supported by a variety of Enterprise Architecture (EA) tools. Our goal is to provide a single source of architectural truth accessible to all to support the above Job Description As the Lead Product Owner you will be responsible for shaping and driving the utilisation, support and improvements to our EA toolset. The primary tool is EA Sparx and Prolaborate, but we also use iServer, Visio and Microsoft Products, all as on-premise deployments at the current time. Responsibilities Shape, own and implement the strategy for the EA product(s) in line with the TSA strategy and wider Bank strategy. This will include marketing the benefits of the product(s), horizon scanning across product vendors, collaborating with other organisations including other Central Banks on EA product approaches and planning the move to SaaS provision. Understand what is important to deliver to architects and end users whilst considering timelines and other constraints, including identifying user requirements and configuring the product(s) to meet those needs. Rapidly build powerful collaborative relationships with the various colleagues and external contacts including functioning as the Contract Owner for the product(s) supplier(s). Understand the product(s) well and be able to engage on content management including knowing when to delegate to others in the team. This includes acting as the product(s) guru on how to best use the product(s), preparing and delivering training and support services, actively reviewing and managing content to ensure it remains relevant, product(s) configurations, automations, upgrades and integrations with other Bank products Possible line management of Product Owner(s). Provide insights / synthesised views into a range of outputs including ad-hoc requests. Minimum Criteria Demonstrable experience of the management of at least two Enterprise Architecture products including metamodel design. You are also an experienced Enterprise Architect who can articulate the value of providing a central repository of EA artifacts. Demonstrable understanding of the TOGAF and Archimate metamodels. Essential Criteria Demonstrable experience leading multiple Enterprise Architecture products from multiple vendors supplied to a diverse range of industries both government and commercial. Strong experience in shaping and implementing team strategy effectively, including considering the wider organisations strategies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills - You know how to build and lead relationships and how to liaise effectively and collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders. You know how to get consensus from the team and your partners for difficult decisions and you can explain difficult concepts in a way that your partners at different levels of seniority can understand. Ability to lead individuals and teams to deliver results. You are an effective people manager, having a strong ability to identify and address team members' longer term development needs and objectives. You can lead your team to deliver to tight deadlines. You understand that you might have to work against various trade-offs (user needs, delivery and technical constraints, value for money) and will have to find a solution that reach a good balance between contending needs. Desirable Criteria While the below skills are not essential, having two or more of the below would be beneficial for the role holder: Knowledge of product management principles and concepts as applied to repository-based EA product(s). Knowledge of EA Sparx and Prolaborate. Experience of writing sql scripting languages Market knowledge of EA product(s). Presentation, product demonstration and training experience. Salary and Benefits Information We encourage flexible working, part time working and job share arrangements. Part time salary and benefits will be on a pro-rated basis as appropriate. We offer a salary as follows: Leeds circa £72,320 - £81,360 In addition, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package as detailed below: Currently a non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/80th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/65th) or decrease (to 1/105th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year.
