Description

We require an experienced industrial sewing machinist who has a wide variety of experience and is willing to learn. The work involves cutting and sewing upholstery for wheelchairs, including making bags and other upholstery accessories such as straps, gloves, covers, and bottle or wallet holders.


The skills required

* Competent sewing using a walking foot sewing machine and other industrial sewing machines. Able to sew straight and confident with simple items.
* Confident to sew bulky items, such as large bags.
* Familiar with cutting industrial and heavy fabrics.
* Have some experience with gluing fabric or other means of preparing fabric prior to sewing.
* Able to follow patterns and instructions.
* Interested in pattern making.
