Exciting opportunity for an Oncology Pharmacist to join our Oncology prescription team based out of Harlow with hybrid working after 6 months.
You will become one of our core Oncology Pharmacists in a rewarding clinical setting, working closely with the NHS & pharmaceutical companies to deliver a truly exceptional service to the most important people… our patients.
Salary: Up to £60,000 pa plus company bonus
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm, 37.5 hours per week
Location: Based in Harlow - Hybrid working after 6 months

Our team of 22 Pharmacists who make up our Oncology prescription team are based in our Harlow office alongside our compound team and distribution/dispensing hub. You will take ownership of analysing prescriptions from NHS professionals to ensure they are suitable for complex patient care.
As an Oncology Pharmacist, you will be liaising with stockholders across the NHS & pharmaceutical companies and support on technical clinical queries providing detailed problem solving to translate customer requests for TPN formulations into valid patient prescriptions.
Fantastic progression for GPhC registered Pharmacists to move into this clinical role as our team of lead pharmacists will provide detailed training within the first 6 months of the role.
Oncology Pharmacist Responsibilities:
1. Screen prescriptions to ensure that treatments prescribed are safe, effective & evidence based.
2. Apply clinical/technical knowledge to translate customer requests for TPN formulations into valid prescriptions and ensure that these are agreed with the customer.
3. Ensure all formulations are stable and suitable within the device intended.
4. Screening of prescriptions for TPN and small volume compounded products, including antibiotics and chemotherapy drugs.
5. Dispensing of TPN and small volume compounded products, including antibiotics and chemotherapy drugs.
6. Liaise with regions and accounts to facilitate new patient installations and existing TPN patient formulation changes.
7. Ensure Oncology prescriptions are screened, built and checked as required.
8. Undertake statutory pharmacy duties and responsibilities.
9. Be a pharmaceutical ambassador for the company at meetings with NHS clinicians, scientific seminars, conferences and symposia.
Oncology Pharmacist Skills:
1. Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
2. BOPA qualified or equivalent working experience in Oncology.
3. Strong attention to detail alongside an independent & resourceful nature.
4. Good team leader and ability to self-motivate and be motivated by others.
5. Excellent customer care & a great communicator.
6. Proven patient management and counselling skills.
7. Systematic and structured approach to tasks and processes.
8. Effective communicator with various levels of staff.
9. Ability to learn from other people and draw on their skills.
10. Wants to help and support patients in a primary care setting.
