Job Description We are currently seeking a Technical Demonstrator (Live Audio) to assist in the provision and demonstration of specialist technical and practical equipment, processes and techniques in support of academic and commercial programmes across the University, whilst supporting the broader and deeper utilisation of facilities and cross disciplinary working. About the Role Within the role you will provide hands-on support to tutors and students during in-house, visiting, and off-campus teaching and productions. You will assist in delivering workshops, demos, and learning sessions used in the recording of music performances on location and in the studios. You will be responsible for ensuring health and safety compliance and supervising students in practical activities. Key responsibilities include maintaining specialist equipment, managing booking systems, ensuring adequate resources for teaching and research, and performing risk assessments. You will also contribute to curriculum development and collaborate on proposals for equipment upgrades. About You You will have a relevant qualification and significant practical experience in a commercial or educational setting. You will have up-to-date knowledge of professional equipment, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain specialist equipment. Strong communication, organisational, and team-working skills are essential, as well as the ability to manage complex workloads and prioritise tasks. You will be proactive, flexible, and passionate about supporting creative education. Additional Information Please note that evening and weekend working will be required for this role. The arrangement of working hours will be agreed in advance with the line manager £33,232 to £36,924. Grade Ac1, per annum
