Maintenance Engineer

The Role:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be part of our Maintenance team based on-site in Swadlincote, Derbyshire. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will support the production by maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment. Your main goal is to ensure that the site operates smoothly with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and manage a CMMS planned preventative maintenance system (SAP)
2. Conduct routine, preventative, and planned maintenance of plant equipment
3. Work with contractors on site projects and equipment maintenance
4. Provide technical input and support to engineering projects
5. Respond to emergency breakdowns and troubleshoot faults
6. Perform equipment modifications and installations
7. Provide on-call cover and work overtime as needed
Requirements:
1. A recognized Engineering Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
2. 5+ years of experience in a similar role
3. Level 3 (NVQ) Diploma in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent qualification
4. Knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems, including repairs and fault finding
5. Experience in welding and fabrication
6. Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and ability to work under current regulations
7. Competent in using hand and power tools
