The position is for 25 hours (over 5 days – daily times to be agreed) and will be a temporary contract linked to a pupil with an Education Health Care Plan in Key Stage 1 who has Communication Needs. The governors are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to support to join our amazing team As a Level 2 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and well-being of our pupils with SEND and will work with and support an identified child with an Education Health Care Plan. You will collaborate closely with teachers and other staff and be led by an experienced HLTA and overseen by the SENDCo. We are looking for a teaching assistant who: - Is an effective practitioner with the ability and desire to improve their practice. Is a patient and nurturing practitioner. Has high expectations of themselves and others. Recent proven experience of working with children with SEND and complex needs. Has a proven record of working in partnership with class teachers which has resulted in good attainment and progress for children. Will assist in promoting the learning and personal development of the pupil to whom you are assigned, to enable him/her to make best use of the educational and social opportunities available to them. Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and is willing to share classroom practice with others. Be highly organised, motivated, and flexible with the ability to inspire and challenge children. Promote the vision and values of the school, demonstrating high professional standards.
