Transportation Network Program Manager, EU Transportation Network Design Programs
Amazon’s European Transportation team is responsible for our transportation network’s connectivity across Europe to deliver billions of shipments each year. We collaborate with multiple internal teams (e.g. Supply Chain, Finance, Tech, Retail) to ensure a speedy and reliable customer delivery in the cheapest way possible.
As a Transportation Program Manager, you will serve as a bridge between business teams and Trans tech teams to ensure transportation systems are set up in line with the strategic transportation network plan. You will be responsible for understanding your customers’ business needs and providing optimal system solutions. You will also identify opportunities and implement changes to improve network performance, simplify processes, and leverage existing resources.
Key job responsibilities:
1. Create and manage the framework supporting Amazon transportation network.
2. Support network’s day-to-day operations and expansion.
3. Deep dive into data and issues to drive short term fixes and long term improvements.
4. Identify biggest opportunities to improve transportation network, balancing capacity, delivery accuracy, speed, and cost.
5. Design, develop, and implement solutions in line with strategic plans.
6. Deliver results through extensive cross-functional integration with multiple internal teams.
7. Drive and support large scale transportation programs through automation and simplification of processes and information flow.
8. Manage relationships with internal stakeholders.
9. Develop tools to speed up decision making for network changes.
About the team:
Amazon’s EU Global Transportation Service (GTS) team is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-obsessed Program Manager, to lead the EU Transportation Network Engineering team in EU, and help us design and optimize our transportation network. The role will involve understanding the physical and virtual transportation processes, from our fulfillment centers on to our final mile carriers who deliver our packages to our customers. As part of the EU Customer Fulfillment Network Design team, you will combine business process knowledge, data expertise, and analysis skills to identify and drive programs within our transportation network.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree.
2. Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL.
3. Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
4. Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
5. Experience in program or project management.
6. Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization.
7. Experience defining and executing program requirements.
8. Experience in driving end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
9. Experience leading process improvements.
10. Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
11. Experience building processes, project management, and schedules.
