We are seeking a skilled Head of Operations with a preference for candidates who have experience working within the NHS, proven expertise in writing and developing reports, and implementation of Oracle eBusiness Suite.
NEP is a not-for-profit NHS consortium committed to providing the English NHS with a leading 'true cloud' based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Finance & Procurement solution. Fully hosted by Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, NEP has a rich history dating back to its founding in 1999. The consortium was established on the principle of collaboration to offer NHS organisations a shared, cost-effective ERP platform.
Main Duties of the Job
The Head of Operations is responsible for a range of specialised areas across the Operational Management of NEP Cloud and its service delivery, including supporting the Strategic Planning across the service. The Post Holder is responsible for the management, development, and supervision of the Process Development, Service Delivery, and Quality and Assurance Teams.
Job Responsibilities
The Head of Operations is also responsible for:
* The implementation and deployment of the NEP Cloud System in accordance with agreed quality standards.
* The design and setup of Organisation configurations on the NEP Cloud System, including new and merged Organisations.
* The in-house development, testing, and implementation of customised business solutions within agreed parameters and to agreed quality standards.
* The design, testing, and implementation of reporting protocols in accordance with the NEP Reporting Strategy.
* Providing advice and assistance to the NEP Consortium, other NHS Organisations, and other clients and partners for the deployment of standardised reporting and business processes for the Accounting to Reporting and related functions.
* Ensuring regular monitoring of relevant elements of the NEP Programme of Work, to enable the effective delivery of work packages within agreed timescales.
* Analysing highly complex data to ensure the delivery of specialised training and the design and development of information reports involving the adaptation of complex software.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* A professional Masters level qualification in Accountancy or Procurement related study areas, or equivalent further specialist training and working experience.
Experience
* Broad and highly-developed management and relationship skills, based on vast experience of working in a managerial capacity within a pro-active team-based customer-focused and service delivery environment.
* In-depth working knowledge of project management and systems/business development. A qualification in Project Management methodology would be beneficial but not essential.
* Although not essential, experience of working within the NHS would be a benefit to the post holder.
Other Requirements
* It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid driving licence and is either a car owner and able to use the car for work purposes, or has a Trust personal lease vehicle which may be used for the role. However, the Trust would consider making reasonable adjustments to the role, if necessary, to enable a disabled person to undertake the role.

Salary: £62,215 to £72,293 a year pro rata per annum
