Your new role We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Delivery Manager/Project Manager with extensive experience in disaster recovery. You will be involved in taking the findings from the discovery phase and working with SMEs to develop a coherent and realistic plan for delivery. This role requires someone with extensive project management experience who can work with IT SMEs and Business Change to deliver this project. You will need to have a strong IT background and experience in Disaster Recovery/Cloud Services. You should also be comfortable working with and reporting to SROs and various steering groups on progress. This role requires strong project planning and project management skills. Key Responsibilities: Develop the End-to-End Project Plan from the outputs of the discovery phase document with SMEs. Lead and manage project meetings to ensure projects are tracking to plan, including regular status reporting to the Programme Manager and Delivery Board. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration amongst the project team to ensure they have a common understanding of the project, roles and responsibilities, tasks, risks, issues, and dependencies, including inter-project dependencies. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and SMEs, obtaining commitment/buy-in to project work, including achieving necessary compromises where differing views and opinions are evident. Create, manage, and maintain all project documentation in line with the Delivery Framework Governance structure, including project plans, reporting, RAID Logs, etc. Ensure specification artefacts are accepted and signed-off by the management team. What you'll need to succeed A strong track record of delivering IT and disaster recovery projects in a variety of methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile in multiple organisations. Solid understanding of infrastructure and technical cloud projects. Ideally formal project management qualifications (Prince2, PMP, MSP, Agile/Scrum Master). Evidence of managing multiple projects concurrently. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate to non-technical people. Experience in matrix-managing multidisciplinary teams. Ideally, experience of working in a regulated sector.
