Our client, based roughly a 20-minute drive from Swindon, is looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis.
Due to the location of the warehouse, your own transport is essential, as there is no public transport available.
Salary:
* This role brings a basic salary of £27,000 to £29,000 per annum based on experience.
Contracted Days & Hours:
* 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday 06:30 – 14:30.
Daily Duties:
* Working with other Section Leaders and Shift Operations Managers to ensure all resources are best deployed to achieve all targets.
* Ensuring that all safety accidents and near misses are reported and acted on in accordance with health and safety procedures and legislation.
* Maintaining a safe and healthy environment by carrying out regular health and safety checks and ensuring safe systems of work in adherence to standards and agreed methodology.
* Maintaining high levels of customer service, putting the customer first in every part of the operation and ensuring the touchpoints important to the customer are embedded into the culture of your team.
* Overseeing colleague attendance, utilizing the Company’s time and attendance system, including conducting return to work meetings and proactively coordinating with the People Team to schedule absence review meetings once trigger points have been reached.
* Monitoring performance and conduct through a combination of informal and formal management tools such as performance improvement discussions and investigations, adhering to company policies.
* Achieving and continuously improving on KPI’s by monitoring, recording, and managing staff targets, successfully planning workload and deadlines through liaison with other departments as well as using forward forecasting plans and coordinating these with business requirements.
* Reporting key metrics at the operative level.
* Conducting daily team meetings to discuss previous day's results and the day's targets.
Skills & Knowledge Required:
* Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
* IOSH managing safely.
* Distribution and warehousing background.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to plan and prioritise workload.
