Chronos Energy have partnered with a leading Energy company to help them appoint a Maintenance Manager (District Heating) to oversee the management, operation, and development of our district heating services.
This role will involve leading a team of technical and operational staff, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of heating services to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in energy systems, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering sustainable heating solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management: Lead the day-to-day operation of our district heating networks, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Monitor and manage heating systems, including boilers, CHP’s, heat exchangers, pumps, and pipelines.
Team Leadership: Manage and supervise a team of Engineers and support staff. Provide training, development, and performance management to ensure high standards of service delivery.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to customers. Resolve complex technical issues promptly to avoid service downtime.
Health, Safety, and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team. Conduct risk assessments and audits regularly.
Budget Management: In conjunction with the Regional Head of Operations, prepare and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and optimal use of resources. Monitor expenditures and recommend improvements in operational efficiency.
Customer Relationship Management: Act as a point of contact for key clients, addressing customer concerns and ensuring high levels of service. Work with the customer service team to resolve complaints and ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications or Required Experience:
Education: Appropriate technical qualifications: appropriate City & Guilds mechanical or electrical or equivalent
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in district heating, energy management, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of district heating systems, including heat generation,
