Nudge Education is a national intervention service for children that are chronically disengaged from education.
We are seeing in the region of 937,000 children across the UK missing education regularly, a number which is sadly expected to rise when the next set of data is published.
What we do:
We are hopeful that the tailored and bespoke interventions that we design and deliver will help to re-engage thousands of children across the country in the coming years. To do this we need a flexible, motivated and dynamic network of practitioners, and underpinning this network is the vital role that our recruitment, onboarding and HR team play and Nudge Education HQ.
We are looking for someone who can join this team, to help us reach larger numbers of professionals desperate to help our mission.
Main Accountabilities:
* The HR Team Lead will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies, processes, and programs.
* Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new employees have a seamless integration into the company.
* Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and resolution strategies to staff and Line Managers within Nudge
* Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.
* Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations, including record-keeping, reporting, and audits.
* Coordinate training sessions to educate employees on company policies and legal requirements.
Key Tasks:
* Monitor and regularly report to the Operations Manager on all areas of employee related matters (HR)
* Advise and work with the Operations Manager to strategise on the development of effective employment policies across the company.
* Provide professional leadership, support and development to the internal teams, in order to increase knowledge of HR practice and to ensure that relevant professional standards and legalities are met
* Ensure that the Organisation complies with current regulations, accepted professional standards, policies and procedures and legislation (including legislation on data protection, the Equality Act and health and safety)
* Oversee the maintenance and improvement of Nudge HR systems.
* Ensure managers are sufficiently skilled and enabled to access appropriate guidance and information to manage workforce issues.
* Handle all information compliantly and concordantly in line with company policy and legislative data security and information processing protocols.
* Motivate and challenge team members to achieve departmental Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
* Monitor team & individual progress against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and take relevant and timely action to address any areas of concern
* Ensure that all safer recruitment processes are adhered to and all relevant databases and records are kept up to date
Details of role:
Location: Head Office, Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary Scale - £29,000-£39,000
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week based around core office hours (8.30am-3.30pm)

Responsible for: HR and Compliance Administrators
This role will be hybrid, mainly working from home or a remote venue with the expectation that you travel to our offices in Newcastle 3 days each week.
We operate a safer recruitment policy and will undertake a series of background checks in-line with Government Guidance (Keeping Children Safe in Education.)
