Ship Broker We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Ship Broker (Dry) to join our client's progressive ship broking team in London. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling Panamax and Handymax vessels, with a strong focus on the Atlantic markets, and some exposure to Mediterranean and Far East trade lanes. Key Responsibilities: Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential business opportunities in the Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Far East trade lanes. Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ship owners, and charterers to facilitate successful fixtures and deals. Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions of charter parties, ensuring favorable outcomes for all parties involved. Fixture Management: Oversee the entire fixture process, from initial negotiations to finalizing contracts and ensuring smooth execution. Documentation: Prepare and manage all necessary documentation related to fixtures and deals, ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Market Intelligence: Stay updated with market trends, vessel availability, and freight rates to provide accurate and timely information to clients. Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the chartering process, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Ship Broker, specifically handling Panamax and/or Handymax vessels. Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in securing fixtures and deals within the maritime industry. Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Atlantic markets, with some knowledge of Mediterranean and Far East trade lanes. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively and build strong client relationships.
