Role: Maintenance Engineer (Days) Location of post: Leprino Foods, Magheralin Role Purpose: To carry out mechanical, electrical and instrumentation preventative and planned maintenance. Equipment fault finding and plant continuous improvement. Increasing efficiencies in maintenance and operations. In accordance with SOPs /risk assessment method statements (RAMS) and daily plans. Accountable to: Maintenance Team Leader Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent Position Responsibilities & Measures of Success: Relationship Development Contribute effectively to the engineering team by relaying all information on the days activity Maintain communication with operators in all appropriate departments to ensure any potential maintenance issues are highlighted and addressed at the earliest opportunity During and following periods of equipment breakdown or periods where specification parameters have not been achieved, contribute fully in 5-Why investigation sessions to determine the root cause of the problem. Ensure timely and accurate records are maintained (on SAP PM or alternative) of all maintenance tasks performed to enable equipment history records to be efficiently maintained. If appropriate maintenance intervention does not correct an equipment or plant problem in a timely manner, then this must be reported immediately to your Team Leader. Ensure all temporary fixes are communicated to your Team Leader and following shifts so permanent repairs can be completed Participate in regular coaching sessions with your Team Leader and Manager Participate in RCA projects and contribute to delivering robust final solutions. Operational Excellence Work as an integral member of the plant maintenance team to support operational fault diagnosis on all plant equipment, automation systems and networks Support the development of best in class maintenance strategy and deliver high quality craftmanship to deliver optimised operational performance and plant uptime. Carry out problem solving to eradicate failures 5Ys, A3s, Kaizen events, DMAIC studies Responsibility for carrying out high quality work to deliver maximum plant uptime, including updating all relevant documentation. Ensure supply of high-quality product through ensuring equipment and system availability maximize performance through continuous process improvement initiatives and other relevant operational support requirements Develop preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Responsible for supporting a culture of Continuous Improvement and contributing to problem solving to support any associated investigations Participate in training sessions and share best practices within the team. Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained at all times To ensure that a suitable level of quality & workmanship is maintained by all contractors, maintenance employees reporting directly to the supervisor or contractors managed on site Seek out opportunities to implement a better way of doing things, and gain buy in agreement from the Maintenance Manager.
