Main duties of the job Key Responsibilities & Main Duties This is a dynamic and varied role, perfect for someone who enjoys both administrative and patient-facing responsibilities. As part of the Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the service, supporting both patients and clinical staff. Your Role Will Include: ? Patient Coordination & Communication - Scheduling appointments, calling patients to explain scan procedures, and providing reassurance and guidance.? Administrative & IT Support - Managing booking schedules, handling queries from consultants, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.? Clinical Involvement (Training Provided) - Undertaking venous access/cannulation where required, under professional guidance.? Operational Support - Ordering radionuclides, liaising with radiographers, consultants, and other team members to maintain seamless service delivery.? Reception & Patient Care - Greeting and assisting patients at the PET-CT scanning unit, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed. This role, while primarily clerical, offers valuable hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
