European Business Development Specialist
Position Title: Business Development Specialist (Automotive Engineering Focus)
Location: Shenstone, Lichfield Staffordshire

Established in 1996 and the European arm of Dengensha TOA Co., Ltd., a Japanese company founded in 1935. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Business Development Specialist to join our team. If you have an engineering background, commercial experience, and a passion for driving business growth, this is the role for you. Multilingual candidates are strongly preferred to help us engage with clients across diverse European markets.
The product range includes:
1. Resistance Welders: AC/MFDC/CD welding machines, robot guns, transformers, welding controls, and monitoring systems.
2. Nut and Bolt Feeders: Vibration nut feeders, rotary magnetic nut feeders, cassette nut feeders, vibration bolt feeders, and integration and control solutions.
3. Services and Parts: Spare parts, tooling/consumables, maintenance services, and training courses tailored to customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Be an ambassador for the brand.
2. Drive business growth by identifying and developing new opportunities within the automotive and other sectors across Europe.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
4. Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of projects and solutions to customers.
5. Preparation of proposals, contracts, and other business development materials.
6. Analyse market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead of industry developments and inform strategy.
7. Participate in meetings, conferences, and events to promote the company's products and services across various European regions.
8. Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning and market expansion efforts.
9. Work closely with the Sales Director / Managing Director to set and achieve budgets, targets and profitable sales from EU markets and Dengensha Europe Gmbh.
10. Analyse customer samples and weld tests to ascertain appropriate solutions.
11. Assisting and helping the service / engineering team.
Ideal Candidate:
Educational Background: HND, HNC, or Degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or related fields) or equivalent experience in business development.
Experience:
1. Proven experience in a business development role, preferably in the automotive or engineering sector.
2. Strong commercial experience with a focus on client relationship management and growth.
3. Demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
Skills and Attributes:
1. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients at all levels.
2. Strong organizational and project management abilities.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
4. Multilingual skills are a significant advantage (fluent in English, German or French).
