Work Environment:
This position is based in Wickford, Essex, and requires on-site work. Hybrid work is available, but candidates must be able to work in the office Mondays and Wednesdays as a minimum.
About the Role:
Sector experience in Insurance is essential for this role. Depending on the project size, you may work independently or as part of a team. This role is client-facing, requiring you to determine requirements, estimate costs, and present completed solutions. Your responsibilities will fluctuate between analysis and configuration, detailed SQL scripting, and report/system design. Flexibility and proficiency in both business and technical areas are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure Insurance Systems: Tailor systems to meet client specifications.
Project Feasibility Reports: Produce detailed reports assessing project viability.
Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with external clients and internal resources.
Documentation & MIS Reports: Create comprehensive documentation using tools like Crystal and MS Report Builder.
SQL Queries: Build and modify databases using SQL.
Project Documentation: Translate client requirements into detailed project documents.
Solution Assessment: Identify and evaluate potential solutions for technical and business suitability.
Innovative Solutions: Develop logical and innovative solutions to complex problems.
Proposal Development: Draft specific proposals for modified or replacement systems.
Client Presentations: Present proposals to clients.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers and end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
Testing Schedules: Develop testing schedules for product/model testing.
Project Implementation: Oversee the implementation of projects.
Deadline Management: Plan and work flexibly to meet deadlines.
User Manuals: Write comprehensive user manuals.
Training: Provide training to users of new systems.
Industry Updates: Stay current with technical and industry sector developments.
Additional Duties: Undertake any other related duties as required.
Required Knowledge:
Insurance Lifecycle: Understanding of the insurance lifecycle.
SQL: Proficiency in SQL.
Database Applications: Good knowledge of database applications, design methods, and approaches.
