What will the role involve?
As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our production operations to ensure efficient and effective manufacturing processes. You will play a key role in driving productivity, quality, and safety standards while ensuring the timely delivery of products to meet customer demands. Your strong leadership skills, attention to detail and ability to make effective decisions will contribute to the success of our operations.
Key responsibilities include;
10. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.
11. Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety among team members.
12. Plan, organise, and coordinate production activities in accordance with company policies and procedures.
13. Develop production schedules and allocate resources to achieve production targets and meet customer requirements.
14. Monitor and analyse production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
15. Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations in the production facility.
16. Manage and motivate a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their skills and productivity.
17. Collaborate with other departments, such as quality assurance, and maintenance, to ensure smooth production flow and resolve any issues or bottlenecks.
18. Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure products meet the required standards.
19. Analyse production data and generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
20. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in production technology to recommend and implement innovative solutions
What you’ll need in order to be successful in the role
The ideal candidate will have:
21. Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the food or beverage industry.
22. In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.
23. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
24. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
25. Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to analyse production data and generate meaningful reports.
26. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
27. Proficient in using production management software and MS Office applications.
28. Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
29. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
30. High levels of enthusiasm and a positive attitude to change and problem solving

31. Our Oswestry site is a best in class cheese packaging facility that cover 8 acres of land and package 350 different types of products.
32. We send cheese out to Europe, North America, Africa & Asia.
33. Supplying branded products like Castello, BOB and Arla Pro, along with private label to Waitrose, M&S, Asda & Aldi.
34. If we lined up, side-by-side, all the 20kg blocks of cheese our Oswestry site process each year, we could plot the entire UK coastline.
